The concentration provides a formal structure from The University's visual media studies program, incorporating: graphic design, typography, and digital media program in the IA BAIA program (double major in Information Architecture, Graphic Design). In the IA BAIA and BFA programs, the concentration was interdisciplinary, including: the study of graphic design, typography (within the design of complex visuals such as maps, charts, diagrams, and navigational systems—requires a tight focus on verbal content, typographic details, aesthetic consistency, how the communication will be used, and who its audience will be), history, aesthetics, process, technology, project management, Information Architecture, usability testing, materials, and marketing. University Accreditation The BFA program was in Graphic Design. Emphasis: Geschichte der Schule für Gestaltung Basel— California College of the Arts (CCA). The CCA is proud to be designated by Adobe Systems Incorporated as a Partners by Design School. College of Creative Arts, Department of Design & Industry California College of the Arts, Department of Graphic Design A most rigorous, demanding, and challenging undergraduate-level program(s), encompassing both Information Architecture & Design. Excellent hands-on, vocational training—IA, UXD, PM skills. Because of an extended education and extra Diploma from Heald Business College, my IA BAIA degree is equivalent to the BSIT degree. My IA BAIA degree is a highly specialized undergraduate degree in Information Architecture, Navigational Systems, Project Management (see below information about degrees, coursework, and completion of Information Architect internships). Information Architect, Project Management Courses Excellent IA, UXD, PM Programs The Information Architecture and Graphic Design concentration prepares architect-designers for changes within the industry, better aligning architect-experience designers with contemporary methods, processes, best practices, usability testing, project management, concepts, and nomenclature. Accomplishing my IA BAIA degree, I specialized in Information Architecture and therefore have an undergraduate degree (double major) in Information Architecture and Graphic Design.
