IA MAEd & TPW Work Experience

Several supervised IA, PM and TPW, PM internships were satisfactory completed for graduation requirements, though numerous other IA, PM supervised internships were completed during the IA BAIA, IA MAIA & IA ID&T programs.

Letters of recommendations were submitted to verify Information Architect, Technical Writing, Project Manager work experiences, meeting requirements upon graduation—all supervisors were pleased with excellent, high-level performances, while doing IA, PM and TPW, PM (3.0 GPA required for approval and graduation).

All of these work experiences and degrees equate to equal years of IA, TPW, PM work experiences required for employment, including years of previous work experiences at corporations—with letters of recommendations from supervisors—in a related industry and comparable corporate environments.

Information Architecture (IA)—
Heuristic Evaluations

Information Architecture is a highly specialized field that requires specific training and education relevant to every IA project or employment situation. Without degrees in IA, it might be difficult to grasp why IA is both important and required for Websites or digital design products, including understanding user-centered design principles.

Understanding why usability testing is necessary and how to do it. In terms of doing heuristic evaluations and how to design usability tests for effective data collection, this includes doing: heuristic evaluations, heuristic estimations, cognitive walkthroughs, pluralistic walkthroughs, feature inspections, consistency inspections, standards inspections, and formal usability inspections.
